Domestic Receipt Book, 1872

Mrs. Winslow's Domestic Receipt Book of 1872 was a joint publication of Jeremiah Curtis & Sons and John I. Brown & Sons.

"Receipts" here are, of course, recipes.

The back page shows that Curtis & Brown was an active company for one of the products as well. At the bottom in the small print it says that "All orders for Mrs. Winslow's Soothing Syrup, and Brown's Vermifuge Comfits, should be addressed to Jeremiah Curtis & Sons, 215 Fulton Street, New York." Also, "All orders for Brown's Bronchial Troches, should be addressed to John I. Brown & Sons, 26 Essex Street, Boston, Mass."

Anglo-American Drug Company had not been formed yet to market Soothing Syrup.
